Ada S. Cheung
Ada Cheung is an Endocrinologist at Austin Health and an NHMRC early career researcher at The University of Melbourne with research interests in the role of testosterone and estradiol on body composition, and aims to improve health outcomes for two main groups; men with prostate cancer undergoing androgen deprivation and transgender individuals receiving cross-sex hormone therapy. She has won a number of national and international awards for her research studying strategies to mitigate the adverse muscle and bone effects of androgen deprivation therapy including a US Endocrine Society Early Investigator Award, a Viertel Clinical Investigator Award, RACP Vincent Fairfax Family Foundation Fellowship, Bryan Hudson Clinical Endocrinology Award and the ESA/Australian Women in Endocrinology Award. She was recently a finalist in the 2018 Victorian Premiers Award for Health and Medical Research.
