Agnes Stefansdottir
Dr Agnes Stefansdottir is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Reproductive Physiology at the University of Edinburgh. She completed a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree at the University of Aberdeen in 2010, graduating with First Class Honours. Agnes then received her PhD from the University of Edinburgh in 2014. Her PhD project focused on establishing a novel embryonic mouse ovary culture system, to examine the effects of pharmaceutical and environmental compounds on the developing ovary in vitro. Since completing her PhD she has worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with Professor Norah Spears, investigating the ability of a range of tyrosine kinase inhibitors to protect the ovary against chemotherapy-induced damage. In 2016 she received the Society for Reproduction and Fertility Postdoctoral Prize for her talk at the annual SRF conference in Winchester
