Michael Davies
Professor Michael Davies is an epidemiologist located within the Robinson Institute at the University of Adelaide, South Australia. He co-directs the Lifecourse and Intergenerational Health Research Group (LIGHT).
His research focuses on developmental programming of reproductive, metabolic, and growth pathways. This considers the intergenerational, social, and biological pathways to health at different points in the life course by employing a series of community-based cohort studies, with an increasing focus on data linkage. This includes the South Australian Birth Cohort of 557,000 births, which includes records from birth defect registries, clinical, and administrative data sets.
